Wow, I am posting something...what a surprise. I am surprising myself im so surprised.

I went to a school for the first time in my life on the 21st. Scarryyyy. It was a little intimidating at first but now it is fun. Nobody knows i am 13. I always thought I looked older...except when i am around the Sebourn girls..hehe, i feel like a shorty. Everywhere else I feel normal height though haha. My classes are cool . In my English class we are studying Jane Austen's Pride and Predjudice for almost half the semester. Rachel would love this class, i think she might get a little angry at the people that don't read the correct amount of pages, don't turn in their assignments on time, and complain constantly how boring the book is. Idiotic people! The girl that sits next to me is soo confused about the book she has just about given up reading it, she is so behind and confused. I still like her even though she doesn't like Jane Austen....buttt for Rachel it would be another story  . Oh I must quote the guy who sat behind me " I am soo glad this book only cost 3 dollars, what a waste of money it would be." I DON'T like that guy .

I really like Tyler Perry movies. I have watched two of them recently, I really like them. The two I watched were Madea's Family Reunion and Daddy's Little Girls. The former I liked a little better but thoroughly enjoyed both. The first one is so funny (the scenes with the crazy old black woman haha) and really dramatic ,too, with the rest of her families stories. Daddy's Little Girls is about a guy who left his crazy wife and is in a custody battle for the two little girls. He falls in love with the lawyer. Anyhow, Tyler Perry writes, directs, and acts in all of these movies (the former he plays 3 roles). Pretty amazingly awesome huh.

I really like this CD, Colbie Caillat, her voice is so pretty and soothing. It is all acoustic and reminds me of summer. Pretty much beach music.

    I can't wait for sunday :)

    Yep, you guessed it...MIKA

I have done a ton of background imformation on this singer today. I found it very interesting. First of all Mika's real name is Mika, well the real way he spells it is Mica. He changed it to Mika because people started pronouncing it "Micah". His full birth certificate name is Michael Holbrook Penniman. He is 22, which is cool because i thought he was older. Some song info:

"Grace Kelly" seems to have alot of controversy. He wrote this song after all the record deals he was trying to get were turned down because they didn't like his style, and he is writing about how people shouldn't judge him for who he is basically. Some people thought the "freddie" references were talking about Fred Astaire. They got blasted after hearing the interview where he clearly states he is talking about Freddie Mercury the lead singer of Queen. He doesn't seem to mind being referred to as the new Queen. Also another interesting fact is whenever he says "freddie" in the music video he throws up his hand just like Freddie Mercury always did. About the girls voice: there didn't seem to be a whole lot said about this but some people mentioned them being Grace Kelly the actress's sound clips...not sure if this is true, because i looked her up on imdb and her lead male characters names did not have the name Humphrey or Mr. Smith in them. This song is my favorite, even though it is the most played, because it is soo ALIVE

"Lollipop" is a little confusing. This is very close to being my favorite song but not quite for no particular reason. In an interview Mika was asked what the song was about and he said "Uh, uh my sister". Many people have said its about taking you "sweet" time to fall in love...and too not fall in love too fast because it will get you down. It might be a message about virginity also, which is a good message in the song, and certainly not a bad one. Whenever the kid's sing in this song it makes me smile until the tips of my mouth are up to my eyes.

"My Interpretation" is definetly a breakup song. It is alot calmer than his other songs. Maybe a time to relax after dancing to "lollipop" possibly? "Relax" is the most techno, me really like. "Love Today" is so much fun to sing too. I did just read the lyrics and i wouldn't necessarily say i am too happy with them. But I really can't seriously here a word he is saying until he says stuff like "love, love me". It is definetly one of the best dance songs on the CD. "Ring, Ring" is really fun...i wish it was available as a ring tone, darnit.

"Any Other World" I absolutely love, it really is a beautiful song. Alot of this CD i don't take seriously but this song is really gorgeous, I sort of float out into another world when i listen to it. The introduction is a family friend of his named Rafa. Her husband lost his eye in the war in Lebanon (which is also where Mika grew up...his father was held prisoner there for a while and they had to flee to Paris). Also this may have to do with the line "fade to broken remnants" or whatever he says. I really like the introduction and the ending of her talking, i wish i could here what she is saying a little more closely, but i still can here most of what she is saying. I think this song is alot about war-torn countries and what it is like living with a war.

Yes, "Billy Brown" is about a homosexual guy. But i don't think this song is about accepting gay people. It is just a short, funny song. Mika says he wrote this about a friend. Mika doesn't really show where he stands on the issue. He is definetly rumored to be gay, he will not let anybody no his orientation. Which on my part is good, because if he is it won't show through on any of his songs. This isn't one of my favorite songs but it is catchy and it reminds me of the Beatles, probably "yellow submarine". Don't you agree?

"Big Girl", i really love this song, so much fun. He got the idea from watching TV on an airline. It was about a place called the Butterfly Lounge, where they only let in big girls...no skinny girls allowed. He also says his mom is a big girl (ode to mommy)

"Stuck in the Middle" I should listen to more. I was sort of listening to it in detail today and i really felt I liked it. The scatting at the end is really fun too. "Erase" is another breakup song. One thing for certain is that i won't be erasing any Mika songs lately

"Happy Ending" is the best breakup song on the CD. It is really powerful, (not really a happy ending though i must add). I especially like the chorus all through it but especially at the end, " A little bit of love" . It sort of adds something hopeful to the otherwise really sad song. About the hidden track (Over my Shoulder). I really think it is really pretty, sort of dark and soulful too. When that hidden track finished my Dad said that he really liked that one.

This CD has a load of happiness, and even sadness. It is either really really happy, or really really sad. So I never leave feeling confused, which is fun. This CD seems to have alot to do with family if you noticed. 1 sister, 2 friends, and a Mom I mentioned. Also in the Grace Kelly music video it shows him around all his family and friends. This CD is a party CD, an insanely fun party. Time to go to a Mika concert. Maybe we can die our hair different colors and wave lollipops in the air (or even better, through lollipops on the stage).
